Today, we are going to talk about the most interesting city of India, the heart of India. Yes, you guessed it right, it’s Delhi. Today we are going to explore the capital of India “Delhi” – “Dilwaalon ki dilli“.

A place wherein people have contented hearts and lively nature. With its long history of empire successions from the Delhi Sultanate to Mughals and then the British, the city at present stands as one of the fastest developing cities in the world. Being the largest city in India, it has many hidden gems to explore like the Red Fort. Did you know that the Red Fort use to be white in color? Yes, you heard it right, the magnificent Red Fort which defines the almightiness of Delhi, used to be white initially. According to a survey conducted for archaeology, related research unraveled that the Fort was made up of limestone and when the stone started to wither away, the British painted it Red to preserve it. 

 Delhi has the 13th largest metro rail network in the world. It stands in the 13th position in the entire world with the length of the station being 193 Kilometers.

Delhi is the leading commercial center of India. Along with the manufacturing and sales, Delhi also has vast and rapidly growing retail industries.

Can you guess which is the tallest minaret in the world and is in which city? Yes! you guessed it right, Delhi. It is the home to the tallest minaret in the world. It’s Qutub Minar! The construction of this beautiful Minaret began in 1200 AD by the Delhi Sultanate – Qutub al-Din Aibak and still stands gracefully within the city.

Banaras also known as Varanasi, or Benares, is a city on the banks of the river Ganges, Uttar Pradesh, India. Banaras is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh dating to the 11th century B.C. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites.
